Imagine Design Create DT project - Fly Free

Hi all, it's time for my weekly Imagine Design Create blog post sharing my new DT project, and I've opted to use the fab Fly Free stamp set again.

The project for this week is as shown below, along with a materials list and instructions.

What you will need to make this card -
How to make the card -
  • Cut black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and white card slightly smaller again.
  • Take the white card, and using masking tape, mask off a central panel.
  • Blend some Cracked Pistachio DI from the top down, and some Mermaid Lagoon from the bottom of the panel up - blend well where both colours meet.
  • Keep masking tape in place, and stamp feathers using the same colour of DIs.
  • Tie a piece of black organza ribbon around the card, and mat this onto the black card, and attach both to the card blank using glue.
  • Use Versafine ink to stamp 2 feathers, cover with Anita's Glossy, and allow to dry.  When dry, cut out and attach to the card beside the ribbon using foam pads.
  • Finish off the card by adding a stamped sentiment, and some black gems.

That's my project complete for this week, I hope you liked it, and I'll be back soon with another card made using the fabulous stamps and products by Imagine Design Create.

Thursday Bee Crafty DT post - Butterflies

Hi bloggers, I'm back with my regular Monday DT post for Bee Crafty and decided to go for quite a monochrome look this week.  This is a nice simple card to make, and doesn't take very long to make either.

What you will need -

What you need to do -
  • Take the white card square and, using Versafine ink, randomly stamp butterflies over the entire card.  Mat this onto a square of black card slightly larger, and adhere to the card blank using glue.
  • Stamp the sentiment onto the strip of white card, and mat this on to a piece of black card slightly larger.  Use foam pads to secure this to the top section of card blank.
  • On a spare piece of white card stamp 2 butterflies, and colour them in with the Distress Inks and a water brush.  When dry, cut them out, and glue these to the left hand side of the sentiment.
That's my project completed for this week, and I hope you liked it.  As always please do leave me a comment as I love to hear from you all.

Crafty hugs until next week

Thursday Bee Crafty DT Post - Can't Buy Love

Hi everyone, it's time for me to post this weeks DT project for Bee Crafty.  I'm now going to have a regular Monday spot to share my DT projects, and this week I have decided to make the following card.  I wanted to do a project using just the 1 colour of Distress Ink, and I opted for the gorgeous Mermaid Lagoon.

I've decided to do this blog post as a tutorial with photos showing each stage of the process, I apologise in advance for the lighting in some of the photos as it was a strange day up here in Scotland with bright sunshine one minute and black clouds the next!

The finished card is as shown below.

What you will need -

What you need to  do -

Using Mermaid Lagoon DI, stamp the diamonds along the centre of the card.

Taking a piece of white card, cut slightly smaller than the card blank, use a blending tool to blend Mermaid Lagoon DI around all the edges.

Stamp the large heart using Mermaid Lagoon DI, and using a water brush, flick some ink over the heart to create this splattered effect.

Stamp the sentiment using Mermaid Lagoon DI and cut out.  Cut a piece of white card slightly larger and blend ink around the edges.  Mat the sentiment on to the larger card with glue.

Mat the distressed diamonds onto the blended ink card.

Add Glossy Accents to every diamond.

This is the effect you will end up with - looks really good on the distressed diamonds!

When you have adhered everything to the card this is what you will end up with.

I hope you enjoyed todays tutorial and that you'll think of giving this card a go.  If you have any comments then please do get in touch.

Until next time

Imagine Design Create DT post - If you want to fly

Hi bloggers, hope you're all happily crafting away.  I received some good news recently.... I applied for a DT position with Imagine Design Create and I was accepted!  I am beyond excited by this as Imagine Design Create have just brought out their own range of stamps...and they're amazing!  If you'd like to have a look around the shop then click on the link above and you'll see all kinds of fab products.  One of my duties as a DT member is to create a weekly project and blog it, both on my own blog and the Imagine Design Create blog.

For my first DT project I have decided to make the following card.  You'll find a list below showing all the products I have used.

What you will need to make this card -

 What to do –

  • Cut some white card slightly smaller than the card blank, and another piece slightly smaller again.
  • Using a blending tool, blend Bundled Sage around the edges of the larger of the two squares of white card.
  •  Take the smaller piece, and randomly stamp the large, and small feathers over the entire card, alternating the colours.  Ensure you go off the edges of the card when stamping to get a uniform look.  Glue this to the card with blended edges, and attach both to the card blank.
  • Cut a piece of white card the same length as the stamped panel and approximately 1” wide, and another piece slightly wider.
  • Take the larger piece and blend some Bundled Sage around the edges.  Again using Bundled Sage, stamp the sentiment on the smaller piece, and adhere this to the larger.  Attach both to the card blank using foam pads.

Well that's it for my first DT post...I will be posting regular weekly projects from now on.  Thank you so much for dropping by to have a look, and as always, if you have any questions or comments then please get in touch.

Take care, Lorre-Anne x

Thursday Bee Crafty DT post - Dare to Dream

Hi everyone, for this weeks Bee Crafty DT project I decided to make the card below.  Now this card is a first for me as I used texture paste, and I've got to say I really enjoyed playing with this and think it may be a regular feature on my cards.

To make this card you will need -
  • 6" x 6" white card blank
  • White and black cardstock
  • WORDage - Dare To Dream
  • Inkables template - Oval Lattice
  • Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry & Wilted Violet)
  • Onyx Black Versafine Ink
  • Texture Paste
  • White paper flowers (From my crafty stash)
  • Black gems (From my crafty stash)
  • Glue
  • Foam pads
  • Water brush
How to make -

  • Cut a piece of black cardstock slightly smaller than the card blank, and a piece of white card slightly smaller than this.
  • Take the cut piece of white card and apply some texture paste randomly through sections of the oval lace template.  Leave this to dry.
  • Once dry, blend some Picked Raspberry around the outer 4 corners and then Wilted Violet across the remaining white areas.
  • Cut another smaller square of white card, and blend Wilted Violet over the entire piece, then using Versafine ink stamp the sentiment.  Leave it to dry for a few minutes, then using a water brush add some Picked Raspberry to the letters.  Mat this onto a slightly larger piece of black card.
  • Colour the white flowers using the Distress Inks.
  • Add the sentiment to the card using foam pads, and arrange the flowers around this, also using foam pads to adhere them.
  • Finish off by gluing some black gems to the centre of the flowers.
That's this weeks project finished...hope you liked it?  I'll be back next Thursday with a new DT project for you.

For The Love Of Stamps DT Samples - Sew Special

Hi bloggers, I'm back with my last set of samples for this latest For The Love Of Stamps launch... this time round I used the Sew Special stamp set and mask.  I absolutely love this set!

This is a 6" x 4" card, and was really easy to make.  I cut some white, and black card slightly smaller than the card blank. I used Versafine ink to stamp some stitches around the edges of the white card, and also the dressmakers dummy in the centre.  I glued this to the black mat, and adhered both to the card blank using glue.  I stamped another dummy on to white card, cut it out, and wrapped a piece of white lace around it then tied a strip of black ribbon around that.  I used foam pads to adhere this to the original stamped dummy.  I finished off by stamping a sentiment, and matting this on to black card.

I opted for a DL card next, and I glued some red spotty paper to a black mat, and adhered this to the card blank..  I used Versafine ink to stamp the sewing machine, scissors and thread on to white card, and coloured in using Festive Berries, Tea Dye & Pumice Stone DIs and a water brush.  I cut these out and glued them on to a white strip of card the same length as the card blank (pre stamped with a sentiment) but approx 1.5" wide, and adhered this to the card blank using glue.

My final card is a 5" x 5", and I blended some Picked Raspberry DI through the heart shape on the mask randomly over the card blank.  I also used a black pen to draw a ruler (again using the mask) on a strip of white card, and glued this to a black mat, and adhered to blank using foam pads.  I used Versafine ink to stamp out 2 dressmakers dummies on white card, and coloured one using Picked Raspberry and the other using Spun Sugar - I used Tea Dye to add some colour to the base.  I stuck these to the card blank using foam pads, and added a little Star Dust Stickles to the stitched lines.  The card was finished off with a sentiment.

That's my Sew Special samples complete, I'm sure you'll see lots of cards made by me using this stamp set! I hope you liked my cards, and if you have any questions then please do get in touch.

For The Love Of Stamps DT Samples - A Phone Call Away

Hi everyone, I hope you're all having a good day?  These are my next set of For The Love Of Stamps samples for the May launch.  I got to use the A Phone Call Away stamps and mask, and I love it!  This is such a fab set, and the sentiments are fabulous - we've all needed a card to let someone know we are there for them and this is perfect for this.

This is a 7" x 5" card, and I started by cutting some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and some white slightly smaller than this.  I took the white card, and using Versafine ink, stamped rows of the small telephone.  I used DI (Cracked Pistachio, Ripe Persimmon & Mustard Seed) and a water brush to colour them in.  I stuck this to the black mat, and adhered to the card blank using glue.  I then stamped the large telephone using Versafine, and coloured in using Black Soot - this was then covered in Glossy Accents and left to dry.  Once dry, I cut it out, and used foam pads to adhere it to a white strip of card previously stamped with a sentiment.  Again foam pads were used to adhere this to the card.

This is a 5" x 5" card.  I cut a piece of white card slightly smaller than the card blank, and using Salty Ocean & Chipped Sapphire DI, randomly stamped numbers and wires over the entire piece - Salty Ocean was also blended around the edges.  I stamped the large telephone with Chipped Sapphire on to spare white card, added colour with a water brush, and cut this out.  I then stamped a sentiment using Chipped Sapphire, cut out, and blended some Salty Ocean around the edges.  The main stamped panel was adhered to the card blank using glue, and the telephone and sentiment were added using foam pads.

This is a 6" x 6" card.  I cut some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and some white slightly smaller again.  Taking the white card, I blended some Twisted Citron around the entire piece, the placed the mask over, and blended more Twisted Citron through the twisted wire outer section.  I then blended more Twisted Citron through the small telephone and hearts, and glued this to the black mat.  I adhered this to the card blank with wet glue.  I then cut a smaller square of white card, and glued to a black mat.  I used Versafine ink to stamp the large telephone, and a sentiment under it, then added some colour using Twisted Citron and a water brush.  Using foam pads I adhered this to the centre of the card at an angle.

That's my samples complete for this stamp set.  As always, if you'd like to leave me a comment then I'd love to hear from you.

Happy Crafting!

Hugs,
Lorre-Anne x

For The Love Of Stamps DT Samples - Dainty Daisies

Hi everyone, hope you're all good and busy crafting!  Well it's time to post my latest samples for this month's FTLS launch. One of the sets I received this time was the beautiful Dainty Daisies stamp set and mask, and below are the cards I made using them.

The above card is a 7" x 5" card, and I used Hickory Smoke DI to randomly stamp the large daisy head over the entire piece of white card.  I matted this on to some grey paper from the Perfectly Natural paper pad, and adhered this to the card blank using glue.  I stamped a selection of smaller daisies using Hickory Smoke DI, coloured in all the centre parts with Squeezed Lemonade, and cut them out.  I cut some white card to fit across the bottom of my card, stamped a sentiment using Hickory Smoke, and used foam pads to adhere to the card.  I finished of by sticking the cut out daisies beside the sentiment, and added some Star Dust stickles.

This is a 6" x 6" card.  I cut some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and some white card slightly smaller than this.  I used Spiced Marmalade to stamp Hello over the left side of the white card, and Onyx Black Versafine to stamp the sentiment to the bottom right corner,  I glued this to the black mat, and adhered both to the card blank.. I used Versafine again to stamp a large daisy and 3 small daisies on to white card, coloured in the centres with Spiced Marmalade, and cut out.  I then used foam pads to adhere to the card.

This is a 7" x 5" card.  I masked off a central strip of the card blank using masking tape, and blended some Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade DIs.  I took the mask, and blended the DIs through the leaf sections.  I used Versafine ink to stamp out 1 large daisy and 2 small daisies, used Spiced Marmalade to add some colour to the centres, and added to the card blank using foam pads.  I finished off the card by stamping a sentiment in the lower left corner.

Well that's my first set of samples finished for the May launch...I will be back later with some more samples.

Happy crafting!
