Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Believe

Hi everyone, it's time for me to share this weeks Bee Crafty DT project for my blog post for Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty.  I decided to get my Brushos out for this weeks card as I haven't played with them for a couple of weeks.

Materials needed -
What to do -
  • Cut some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and some white slightly smaller again.
  • Take the white card and place the heart template over it, sprinkle on some Brushos and spritz with water - carefully remove the template and allow card to dry.
  • Use Versafine ink to stamp the dandelion in the centre of the heart.
  • Take the Live Laugh Dream stamp and only ink up the word Believe using Versafine and stamp in the bottom right corner.
  • Mat this on to the black card, and glue to the card blank.  Finish off by adding some Stickles to the dandelion.

Just to show the sparkle given by adding some Stickles.

Imagine Design Create DT Post - Lucky to have a Mum like you

Hi everyone I’m back with a new Imagine Design Create DT project for my weekly blog post.  This week I have used the DearMum A6 stamp set, and I only needed to use 3 stamps to create this card.  I really love the sentiment on this card, and this is the stamp set I will be using this year to make my own Mum's birthday card.

What you need
  • 6” x 6” white card blank
  • white card
  • Dear Mum A6 stamp set
  • Worn Lipstick Distress Ink
  • White satin ribbon
  • Glue & Foam pads

What to do
  • Cut white card slightly smaller than the card blank, and another 2 pieces slightly smaller again.
  • Take the largest of the squares and blend some Worn Lipstick around the edges and glue this to the card blank.  Take the next white square and glue this to the card blank.
  • Take the smallest white square, blend Worn Lipstick over the entire piece, and then randomly stamp roses.
  • Wrap a piece of ribbon around and glue to the card blank.  Add a white bow.
  • Finish off by stamping a sentiment using Worn Lipstick, and matting on to a piece of card previously inked with Worn Lipstick, then another piece of white card, and attach to the card using foam pads.
That's it for this week bloggers, I hope you liked what I designed using these fab stamps - if you have any comments or questions then please do get in touch.

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Christmas samples for Hochanda

Hi everyone, I'm sharing the samples I made for Bev's recent Bee Crafty show on Hochanda ... and I was so excited to get my parcel as it was Christmas stamps!  Now anyone who knows me will tell you that my most favourite time of the year is Christmas, so to get lovely new stamps to play with in July is just the best thing ever for me.  I was planning on putting some Christmas tunes on to accompany my crafting...but thought it might just get my 2 wee boys a little too excited for Santa coming!

This is an MDF portrait artboard covered with Moonstone Lustre Luxe, then I heat embossed some Spikey snowflakes with Blue Glitz and Metallic Silver Sparkle WOW powders.  I finished off by tying some white organza ribbon around the left hand side and adding a silver metal snowflake, and adding a sentiment.

This is a 6" x 6" card - I created a panel by masking off a section and blending some Lucky Clover Distress Ink over the card.  I used Onyx Black Versafine ink to stamp the Holly Swirl border stamp over this panel, then I matted this onto some black card. I finished off by adding a stamped sentiment and some green gems.

This is a 6" x 6" card - I heat embossed Feathery snowflakes all over the left hand side using Red Glitz WOW embossing powder, and matted this on to some red card, then glued to the card blank.  I finished off by adding a sentiment from the Everyday Christmas Sentiments stamp set, and some red gems to the upper corner, and to the centre of all the snowflakes.

This is a 7" x 7" card - I created a background using Distress Oxides (Faded Jeans & Broken China), and then stamped the Snowflake Flurry stamp in Faded Jeans randomly over the card.  I matted this on to a square of white card, then onto a square of card with edges coloured with Faded Jeans.  I finished off by adding a panel with a stamped sentiment and a clear snowflake.

This is a 8" x 8" card - I randomly stamped the Snowflake Flurry stamp over a square of white card using Distress Inks (Lucky Clover & Candied Apple), I then cut a circle aperture in the bottom right corner, and added some red ribbon and a bow around the left hand side.  I placed this card over a square of card slightly larger, and used a pencil to draw a faint line around the circle so I knew where to stamp the Everyday Christmas sentiment in Onyx Black Versafine ink.  I coloured around the edges of this card with Candied Apple, then added the stamped panel to this using foam pads.  I cut another larger square of white card, and coloured the edges of this with Lucky Clover, and matted the other cards on to the this, then glued all to the card blank.  I finished off by adding some Star Dust Stickles to the snowflakes to give some sparkle.

This is a 6" x 4.25" tent fold card - I used Onyx Black Versafine ink to stamp the Everyday Christmas sentiment down the left hand side of a piece of white card slightly smaller than the card blank, tied some white organza ribbon around the right hand side and matted this on to some gold mirri card before attaching to the card blank.  I heat embossed 2 MDF snowflakes with Metallic Gold WOW embossing powder, and glued these to the bottom right corner.

I really enjoyed making these samples, and I hope you've enjoyed seeing them, if you have any comments then please do get in touch.  Remember to pop over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog too to see lots more inspiration from the Design Team. I'll be back again next week to share a new project with you all.

  • Cut some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and some white card slightly smaller again.

Imagine Design Create DT Post - Mini Paw Prints Flower

Hi everyone, for my post on the Imagine Design Create blog this week, I decided to try something different using the Mini Paw Prints stamp set by Imagine Design Create, and thought I’d try to make a flower out of the hearts - it just shows how versatile these stamps are!  This is a really quick little card to make, and is very straightforward.

Imagine Design Create DT Post - Z Fold Retro Gamer

Hi everyone, I'm back with another post for the Imagine Design Create blog, and for this week's DT project I decided to make a Z Fold card - I absolutely love this style of card fold, and it worked really well with this stamp set.

What you will need -

 What to do -
  • Take the card blank, and score the front panel in half, then open out fully and cut a 1.5” strip off the long side.
  • Cut 2 panels of white card slightly smaller than the card blank (inner panel and front panel), and using a blending tool, blend Distress Inks all over both.  Flick some water droplets over the blending and dab with paper towel.  Stamp various images, using both inks, on to the panels, then glue to the card blank.
  • Take the Z-fold mechanism, use Distress Inks to stamp  Press Start & Game Over, and glue to the card blank.
  • On spare card, stamp the Retro Gamer sentiment in Salty Ocean, and cut out using the circle die.  Blend some Cracked Pistachio around the edges, and glue to the Z-fold mechanism.  Stamp a few aliens using both Distress Inks, and cut out using a small circle die then arrange these around the sentiment.

Hunkydory DT Samples

Hi everyone, so I have some fab news... I am now on the Design Team for Hunkydory!!!  I am so excited by this, and was even more so when I found out my first samples would involve Christmas - it's definitely my most favourite time of the year and I love that it starts in June for us crafty peeps. For this latest launch I got to work with the 'Twas the night before Christmas' craft stack and it is absolutely amazing.  Craft stacks are a newish concept from Hunkydory and they contain toppers, foiled papers, printed papers and inserts - all bound in one pack!

This is a 6" x 6" box I made (using my fabulous new Adorable Scoreboard) and I have decorated it using the gorgeous foiled papers and toppers from the kit.

A 6" x 6" card - I cut a strip off the front panel, matted some papers on to gold mirri card and glued to the card base.  Added the topper, and finished with some pearls and ribbon.

6" x 6" card decorated using the gold foiled starry paper.  I cut up the pages from the little book, matted on to gold mirri card, and added to the card using foam pads.  I finished off by adding some pearls.

5" x 5" twisted easel card decorated using the papers, and finished with a topper, sentiment and some ribbon.

5" x 5" standard easel card decorated using the inserts from the kit, and finished with a topper, 2 sentiments and some red gems.

7" x 5" tent fold card (cut 2" off a 7" x 7" card to achieve this card fold) simply decorated using a strip of the paper showing Santa resting, and a topper made from cutting up the small book.

7" x 5" fold back card decorated using the inserts then finished using one of the toppers, a sentiment and some white ribbon.  I love how the topper stands out against the muted colours of the insert.

8" x 6" tent fold card simply decorated using one of the papers, and finished with a topper, sentiment and some pearls.

Shadow box card - take two 7" x 7" squares of card and score both at 0.5", 1", 6" and 6.5".  Mat some papers on to gold mirri card, and glue to one of the squares.  Cut an aperture in one square using a circle die, then glue both pieces together.  Add a topper in the centre of the aperture, and finish off with a topper and some ribbon.

A small box made on the Adorable Scoreboard decorated using the foiled paper and finished with a tag and some ribbon.

So that's my first Hunkydory samples complete, and I had great fun making them.  I'll be back soon with some new samples for you, and until then have fun crafting!

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Hochanda samples

Hi everyone, for this week's Bee Crafty Blog post I have decided to show you some of the samples I made for Sam's recent Hochanda shows, and explain how I made them.

The materials I used are as follows

This was a really simple card to make, I stamped the circle using Versamark and sprinkled some clear embossing powder over then set it using a heat tool.  I stamped a part of the Live Laugh Dream sentiment and heat embossed this too.  I did some matting and layering, and glued to the card blank.

I created a background using Distress Oxides (Broken China, Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo, Fired Brick), randomly stamped the swirl off the circle, matted onto card with edges coloured using the Oxides, and finished by adding the Live Laugh Dream sentiment.

I created a background using Distress Oxides (Fossilized Amber, Broken China, Iced Spruce) then using Versafine, stamped the Splatter Swirl Rectangle in the centre - I then inked up the swirl part again and re stamped carefully over the bottom right corner to give me a double swirl rectangle.  I finished off by stamping the Live Laugh Dream sentiment in the centre.  I did some matting and layering and then glued to the card blank.

I again created the background using Distress Oxides (Broken China, Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet) then randomly stamped the swirl off the circle using Versafine ink around the edges.  I stamped the Live Laugh Dream sentiment in the centre, and did a little matting and layering before gluing to the card blank.

I created my background using Distress Oxides (Broken China, Fossilized Amber, Wilted Violet) to randomly stamp the Splatter Swirl Circle all over a white square of card.  I stamped Laugh Live Dream in the centre of the main circle, and finished by matting on to a square of card with edges coloured using Wilted Violet.

That's it until next week bloggers, hope you liked my samples, and if you have any questions please do get in touch.

Imagine Design Create DT Post - Colours speak all languages

Hi everyone, it's time for me to share another project with you all for my weekly Imagine Design Create blog post.  This week I am using the Colour Splash stamp set by Imagine Design Create, and I have designed the card shown below.

What you need to make this card

What to do
  • Cut black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and 2 pieces of white card slightly smaller than this.
  • Take one of the white squares and use the Distress Inks to randomly stamp paint splots over it. Next cut an aperture in the centre using a circle die.
  • Place this piece of card over the other white square, and lightly trace around the aperture using a pencil.  This ensures your sentiment will be stamped in the correct place.
  • Stamp the sentiment using Versafine ink, then erase the pencil mark.
  • Use foam pads to attach the aperture card to the sentiment card.  Mat this on to black card, and glue to the card blank.
  • Finish off the card by applying Anita's Glossy over all the paint splots.

That's my project finished for this week, I hope you liked my design and if you have any questions then please do get in touch.  Until next time....Happy Crafting!

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Lustre Luxe tags

Hi bloggers, for this weeks Bee Crafty DT blog post for Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty I wanted to share a couple of MDF samples I made for Bev's recent shows on Hochanda (Monday 5th June).  Now this was a first for me as I've never used MDF before, plus I got to play with the fabulous new Lustre Luxe too!  You definitely need Lustre Luxe in your life, this is a metallic paint which is so creamy and shiny - and it gives amazing coverage!  I've used it on card, MDF and various types of ribbon.

Materials needed -

I used blending foam to apply Moonstone Lustre Luxe over the MDF tag.  On spare white card I stamped the large bird, 2 small butterflies and a sentiment using Versafine ink.  I took a little Sea Green Lustre Luxe and mixed it with some water, and used this to colour the birds and butterflies, and I added them to the tag with foam pads.  I also used the Lustre Luxe/water mix to splatter some green over the MDF tag.  I die cut the sentiment, then used blending foam to apply some Sea Green Lustre Luxe.  The Lustre Luxe was also really easy to apply to the lace, and I then tied it through the hole on the tag.

For this tag I again used blending foam to apply Moonstone Lustre Luxe, and when dry (which doesn't take long at all!) I used Versafine ink to stamp the script all over, and to also stamp 2 large butterflies and a sentiment on to spare white card.  I blended Sea Green and Golden Gate Lustre Luxe over the sentiment then cut out, and attached to the tag using foam pads.  I mixed the Lustre Luxe with a little water and used it to add some colour to the butterflies, cut them out, and glued to the MDF tag.  To finish off I added some colour to some white organza ribbon using the Lustre Luxe, and tied this through the hole at the top.

So that's my first ever MDF creations complete, and I can't wait to get another play with some more, plus I'll shortly be putting in an order for some more Lustre Luxe as I NEED the purple and blue now!

Until next week, happy crafting everyone.
Hugs,
Lorre-Anne x

For The Love Of Stamps DT Samples - A*Teacher

Hi bloggers it's time for the latest For The Love Of Stamps by Hunkydory launch...Yay!  I'm thrilled I got to work with the A*Teacher set of stamps and mask, isn't this absolutely amazing?!  I love it, and can't wait to make cards for my wee boys teachers at the end of term.

What to do - Cut a piece of paper from the monochrome paper pad slightly smaller than the card blank, and glue to card base.  On white card use Versafine to stamp out note paper, pencil, worms and apple.  Stamp sentiments on to note paper then cut out.  Colour in other images and cut out.  Apply some Glossy Accents to the apple and allow to dry.  Attach elements to card.

What you need - 5" x 5" white card blank, Ink Me! white card stock, black card, Versamark ink pad, Distress Inks (Candied Apple, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Crushed Olive, Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon, Wilted Violet), Clear embossing powder, Glossy Accents.

What to do - Cut black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and white card slightly smaller again, and glue these to the card blank.  On spare card apply some Versamark ink through the Thanks section on the mask, add some clear embossing powder and set with a heat gun.  Cut this out, mat on to some black card and attach to card using foam pads.  Stamp out 12 crayons, colour in with various DIs, add some Glossy Accents to the tips and ends, leave to dry then cut out and use foam pads to attach to card.

What to do - Cut some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and 2 pieces of white card slightly smaller again.   Take the mask and blend Mustard Seed DI through the Thanks section multiple times down the left hand side.  Use a circle die to cut an aperture in the top right corner.  Place the piece of card with aperture over the other piece of white card, and with a pencil, lightly draw around the aperture - this ensures that you will stamp your sentiment in exactly the right place.  Use Versafine to stamp your sentiment, then erase the pencil line.  Wrap some yellow twine around the card, then use foam pads to attach this to the card with the sentiment, mat on to the black card, and glue to the card blank.  Finish off by adding 2 apples.

So that's my samples finished for this stamp set, I'll be back shortly with my next set of samples.
