Imagine Design Create DT post - Christmas tag

Hi everyone, it’s Thursday which means I’m up on the Imagine Design Create blog sharing another DT project with you all… and this week I decided to make a simple little tag using my Oxide inks and the Snowflake Kisses stamp set.

Materials

What to do
  • Smoosh some of the Oxides on to a blending mat and spritz with water, drag the tag through this mix and dry with a heat tool, occasionally flicking water droplets and repeating until the desired result is achieved.
  • Stamp the snowflakes and sentiment using the various colours of Oxides, and blend some Worn Lipstick around the edges.
  • Finish by tying a ribbon through the top of the tag.

These tags could be created using any colours you wish, and would be ideal to pop on your Christmas presents this year.  I’ll be back next week to share another project with you all, until then happy crafting!  Pop on over to the Imagine Design Create blog and have a look at some of the fabulous designs by my teammates.

Hi everyone, it's Monday which means I'm back up on the Bee Crafty blog - and today I'm sharing the samples I made for Bev's recent shows on Hochanda.  I absolutely loved playing with these stamps as the Wizard of Oz is one of my all time favourite films!

Materials

Background created using the Skyline Inkable, Brick wall and Sunburst Dinkables.  Dorothy & Tinman coloured using Kuretake pens.

Background created using Brick Wall Dinkable.  Characters coloured using Kuretake pens.

Background created using Hearts Dinkable and Courage stamp.  Lion coloured using Kuretake pens.

MDF coloured with Moonstone Lustre Luxe, then Oz heat embossed using green embossing powder. I blended some Lucky Clover Oxide through the Hearts Dinkable, and finished by adding the Tinman and stamped sentiments.

Very simple card to make!  I stamped the sentiment down the left hand side of the card, then finished by adding both the stamped characters and a few pearls.

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Heraldic stamps samples

Hi everyone, for my post today I want to share with you the samples I made for Bev's live Hochanda show from the NEC.    The following cards were made using Bee Crafty's Heraldic set of stamps, and I've got to say I really enjoyed playing with these - the alphabet is fabulous!

Materials

Front of twist & pop card

Back of twist & pop card

Inside of twist & pop card

8" x 8" card made using Spiced Marmalade, Wilted Violet & Vintage Photo Distress Oxides

6" x 6" card made using Chipped Sapphire & Candied Apple Distress Oxides

6" x 6" card made using Ost.Blue Brushos

8" x 8" card made using Seedless Preserves & Wilted Violet Distress Inks.  I put some of the inks on to a blending mat, spritzed with water and then dragged a square of card through it - whilst still wet I placed a scrunched up piece of clingfilm over the top and left for around 5 mins.  I then carefully removed the clingfilm and dried the card, and I was left with this pattern on my card.

I'll be back next week to share another project with you all, until then happy crafting!  Remember to pop over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog to see what my teammates have been getting up to.

Imagine Design Create DT post - stencils

Hi everyone, it's Thursday which means it's time for me to share another Imagine Design Create project with you all.  I've been playing with my new stencils again, and mixing them up with some of my stamp sets and I want to show you 2 of the cards I have designed.

Materials

Cut squares of white and black card for your mats and layers,  Take the smallest white square and place the window stencil over it, lightly trace around the squares using a pencil.  Stamp the images in each of the windows, being careful to mask off where necessary.  Add some colour using pens and mat and layer on to the black card.  Glue to the card blank.

Cut 3 squares of white card each smaller than the first.  Take the largest of the squares and blend Frayed Burlap around the edges.  Mat the next sized white square to this, and glue to the card blank.  Take the smallest white square and place the small circle template in the centre, blend some Antique Linen all over the card.  Keeping the stencil in place, stamp feathers over the card using Frayed Burlap.  Remove the stencil and blend some Frayed Burlap around the edges of the card, and stamp the sentiment in the centre.  Glue this layer to the card blank.

That's it for this week bloggers, I hope you liked my designs and if you have any questions/thoughts then please do get in touch as I love to read your comments.  Remember to pop over to the Imagine Design Create blog to see some more inspirational projects by my team-mates.

Imagine Design Create - New Stencil Fun

Hi everyone I was lucky enough to get to play with the new stencils recently launched by Imagine Design Create.  These stencils are fabulous to work with, and give great effects every time you use them.  Here a few of the cards I came up with using the stencils, and some of my stamp sets - it shows how easily all the stamp sets and stencils can be mixed together.

Materials

This is a 7” x 7” card.  I created the background by using the circles stencil to mask off large circles, then blended Tumbled Glass DI all over the card.  Next I took the Fish stencil and blended Spiced Marmalade DI through the various fish shapes, then some Twisted Citron through the reed sections.  I carefully blended a little Tumbled Glass over all the circles to take away some of the harsh white card, I finished by blending some Tumbled Glass through the smaller circles to create some bubbles, and added a stamped sentiment.

This is a 6” x 6” card, and the sea background is created by using some of the fabulous papers in the Marbled Sea & Sky paper pad.  I used the Fish stencil to draw around the various fish and reed shapes, then added some colour using pens before cutting out and adhering to the card.  I finished by adding a sentiment.

This is a 7” x 7” card.  I blended some Tumbled Glass ink all over a square of white card, darker at the edges and lighter in the centre, then used the Fish stencil to blend various Distress Inks through the fish shapes.  Twisted Citron was blended through the reed shapes, and more Tumbled Glass through the small bubble shapes.  I matted on to black card, glued to the card blank and finished by adding a stamped sentiment.

I really did have fun designing these cards, and hope you like what I came up with.  Please remember to pop over to the Imagine Design Create blog to see some of the fabulous creations my team mates have made.  I’ll be back next week to share another project with you all.

Monday Bee Crafty DT Post - Have a marvellous day

Hi everyone, it's Monday so that means I'm up on the Bee Crafty blog sharing a new DT project with you all.  For this weeks project I've taken some inspiration from my fellow DT members and got my Dinkables out to play, this is a new one I recently purchased and I absolutely love it.

What you need -

What you need to do -

  • Cut a square of black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and 2 squares of white slightly smaller again.
  • Take one of the white squares and stamp 2 butterflies, mask them off then blend some ink through the template.  Blend some Tumbled Glass around the edges.
  • Add some colour to the butterflies wings using a water brush and some distress inks.   When dry, use a craft knife to cut around the butterflies wings, this will give some dimension to your card as they will rise off the card.
  • Use Versafine ink to stamp the sentiment.
  • Tie some ribbon around the right hand side of the card.
  • Take the other square of white card and splatter some distress inks on to it using a water brush.  Use foam pads to attach this to the other white card, and mat to the black card then glue to the card blank.

Close up showing the splattered ink under the wings.

That's it for this week peeps, if you're looking for some more ideas when using these amazing stamps then head on over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog.  See you next week!

Imagine Design Create DT post - Just For You

Hi bloggers, I'm back up on the Imagine Design Create blog today and I wanted to share with you a card I designed using the Fun In The Sun and Birthday Wishes Sentiments stamp sets.

Materials

What to do
  • Cut some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and some white card slightly smaller again. Cut another square of black card approximately 1" smaller, and another white square slightly smaller than this.
  • Take the larger of the white squares and stamp the sentiment all around the edges using Onyx Black Versafine ink.  Mat this on to the larger of the black squares.
  • Take an acrylic block and ink up the top of it using Salty Ocean and the bottom using Old Paper, spritz with water and place the block on to the small white square of card... leave this in place for a few mins to allow the colour to enhance.
  • Remove the block and dry using a heat tool.  Use Versafine ink to stamp the sentiment.  Mat this on to the black card, and use foam pads to attach to the card blank.
  • On spare white card use Versafine ink to stamp the palm tree, and add some colour using pens/pencils of your choice - cut out.  Use Mustard Seed Distress ink to stamp the sun then cut this out.  Attach both to the card blank using foam pads.

That's my project complete for this week everyone, I'll be back next week to share another with you all.  Pop on over to the Imagine Design Create blog and see what my team-mates have been up to.
