Imagine Design Create DT post - Enjoy your birthday

Hi everyone, I’m back up on the blog this week with a new DT project for Imagine Design Create, and this week I’m back using the Flamingo Fun stamp set.

Materials

What to do
  • Cut a 6” x 6” card blank down to a 6” x 4” tent fold card, and use the circle die to cut an aperture on the front panel.  Lightly draw around the aperture using a pencil, and then stamp the leaves on the inner panel using the Distress Inks.
  • Use Versafine ink to stamp the flamingo on some white card, add some colour using pens, and then carefully cut out.
  • Stamp a sentiment on the bottom left side of the front panel using Versafine ink.
  • Glue the flamingo to the front panel of the card, add a small flower to her head and finish by adding some gems in the upper corners.

That’s my project complete for this week bloggers, please remember to pop over to the Imagine Design Create blog to see what my team mates have been up to.  See you all next week.

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Hope

Hi everyone, it's Monday so that means it's my turn up on the Bee Crafty blog to share another of my DT projects with you all... this week I'm playing with a new stamp I recently bought, the Inspired by Banksy - Hope- I love this image!

Materials
What to do
  • Cut some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and some white card slightly smaller again.
  • Take the white card and using Versafine ink, stamp the splatter swirl rectangle in the centre of the card.  Next take some masking tape, and ,mask off the area all around the rectangle.
  • Use the inks to blend some colour inside the rectangle, flick some water droplets over this and pat with kitchen roll, then mix a little Black Soot with water and carefully flick this over the card - try to avoid getting any in the centre of the rectangle!
  • Remove the masking tape then stamp the Balloon Girl using Versafine ink.
  • Finish by stamping a sentiment.
If you're looking for some more ideas using these stamps then head on over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog to see what my team mates have been designing.

Be back next week with a new project to share with you all.

Imagine Design Create DT Post - Red & Green Christmas Wishes

Hi everyone, I’m up on the Imagine Design Create blog with another Christmas card today - I wanted to keep my card quite traditional so have went for red and green.

Materials

What to do
  • Cut black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and white card slightly smaller again.
  • Take the white square and randomly stamp snowflakes over it using both Distress Inks.  Tie a piece of red ribbon around this, and mat this on to the black card then glue to the card blank.
  • Stamp the sentiment by inking up the word Christmas first with Versafine, stamping it, then inking up the word Wishes and stamping it below the Christmas.  Cut this out using a circle die, blend some Candied Apple around the edges, and then attach to the card using foam pads.
  • Finish by adding a red bow to the ribbon.

I really love this stamp set, and have had so much fun making cards with it.  I’ll be back next week to share another one of my projects with you, until then Happy Crafting!  Please pop over to the Imagine Design Create blog to check out all the gorgeous things my teammates have been creating.

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - To hear the angels

Hi bloggers, it's Monday which means I'm up again on the Bee Crafty blog to share another project with you all, and this week I've decided to make a nice quick and simple card.  I really love this sentiment, and think it's just perfect as the focal point of this card.

Materials
What to do
  • Cut some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and some white card slightly smaller again.
  • I used the circle template and blended through some Tumbled Glass.  I used Versafine ink to stamp the sentiment in the centre.
  • On spare white card I used Versafine ink to stamps 3 butterflies, added some colour using my Zig pens, and cut out.  I glued these to the card before matting to the black card and gluing to the card blank.
I hope you all have a great week, and I'll be back next Monday with a new project for you all... in the meantime remember to pop over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog to see what my team mates have been getting up to.

I got a lovely surprise at the end of October when I was asked if I'd like to join Dawns design team and I of course jumped at the chance to work with her.  The samples I worked on were for her One Day Show on Hochanda today at 6pm... the products Dawn will be sharing are absolutely stunning as always, and she'll be doing some amazing demos to show you just what you can make using the products available.

Imagine Design Create DT Post - Christmas Wishes & Snowflake kisses

Hi everyone, I’m here to share my latest DT project for Imagine Design Create, and this week it’s Christmas crafting!!!  I’m so excited, Christmas is my most favourite time of the year, and it won't be long till the big day is here.  For my card this week I wanted to keep my design quite clean and crisp, and here is what I came up with.

What you need

What to do
  • Select a white mat layer slightly smaller than the card blank, and another slightly smaller again.
  • Take the larger of the two, and blend some Chipped Sapphire around the edges, then glue this to the card blank.
  • Take the other mat layer and randomly stamp snowflakes in both the upper left, and lower right corners using both colours of Distress Ink.  Make sure you stamp off the side of the card as this gives an even look to the finished card.
  • Next stamp the sentiment in the centre using Versafine ink.
  • Mat this card on to the card blank, and finish by adding a few blue sequins to the centre of some of the snowflakes.

That’s me for this week; remember to pop over to the Imagine Design Create blog to see what my team mates have been getting up to.

Imagine Design Create DT Post - Distress Oxide Christmas Wishes

Hi everyone, for this week’s Imagine Design Create blog post I decided to get the Christmas stamps out, I’m so excited we’re getting closer to Christmas, it’s definitely my favourite time of year.

Materials

What to do
  • Cut 2 pieces of white card slightly smaller than the card blank.
  • Take the Oxides and smoosh them on a blending mat and spritz with water, take one of the white pieces of card and drag it through this, dry with a heat tool and repeat until the desired look is achieved.
  • Next randoly stamp snowflakes over this piece of card using both of the Oxides, blend some Iced Spruce around the edges of the card.
  • Use a circle die to cut an aperture in the bottom right corner of this, then place this over the other white piece of card – lightly use a pencil to draw around the aperture.
  • Stamp the sentiment using Versafine ink inside this pencil drawn circle, then carefully erase the pencil line.
  • Tie some ribbon around the left hand side of the inked card, then use foam pads to stick this to the white card with the sentiment.  Glue both to the card blank.
  • Finish by adding some pearls to the upper right corner.

That’s my project complete for this week, and I’ll be back next week to share another with you all.   Remember to pop over to the Imagine Design Create blog to see what my teammates have been getting up to. Until then, happy crafting!

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Fleur & Freddie samples

Hi everyone, for this weeks Bee Crafty blog post I'm sharing the samples I recently made for Sam's Hochanda shows.  How cute are Fleur & Freddie - I adore them and I can see myself using these stamps for so many cards.

Materials

I created a background by dragging a piece of white card through some Distress Inks mixed with water.  I blended some Black Soot through the Inkable template, then blended some Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink through the Hearts Dinkable.  I added some detail using a white gel pen, and finished by adding the stamped characters.

I made a shaker card using the large heart template - I drew around the heart shape on a square of white card then carefully cut it out using my kraft knife. I created the background by blending Oxides through my Inkables and Dinkables, and used a fine liner pen to draw a squiggle around the edge of the card. I added a piece of clear acetate to the inside of the heart aperture using red liner tape, then carefully placed foam tape all around the aperture (leaving no gaps!).  I stamped my chosen characters on another piece of white card and coloured using my pens.  I added some small silver hearts to the acetate, carefully removed the backing from the foam tape and put a layer of wet glue over the top of the foam - this gives you a little time to get the 2 pieces of card lined up easily - and attached this to the other square of card.

I used the small trio of hearts to create a background and coloured them in using my pens - I wanted to go for a bright rainbow look!  I then stamped the characters onto a piece of white card, again adding colour using my pens, and finished by adding a stamped sentiment.

The background was created using the Multi Hearts background and Salty Ocean & Picked Raspberry Oxides.  I stamped Freddie & Fleur on a die cut oval, and finished by adding a stamped sentiment and some ribbon.

I stamped the balloon heart in each corner, and the sentiment along each edge before adding the stamped characters in the centre.  I coloured using my pens, then finished by adding some Stickles.

I coloured the MDF heart using the Lustre Luxes and then added some Golden Gate Luxe through the Sunburst Dinkable.  I stamped the image on to spare white card, coloured in using my pens then very carefully cut out using my kraft knife.  I finished by adding some stamped clouds.

I had so much fun playing with these stamps, and I hope you like what I've created using them.

I'll be back next week to share my latest DT project with you all... in the meantime why not pop on over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog to see what my team mates have been getting up to.
