For The Love Of Stamps DT samples - Another Year Taller

Hello again....I'm back with some more For The Love Of Stamps design team samples using the fabulous new stamp sets launched today!  This blog will be focusing on Another Year Taller, and I absolutely adore this wee giraffe...he is perfect for so many cards including birthdays, and also new baby cards.

To make the card above you will need a 6"x4" white card blank, white card stock, Onyx Black Versafine Ink, Vintage Photo & Tea Dye Distress Inks, Another Year Taller stamp set & mask, black pen and silver mirri card.  Take the small ruler markings stamp and create a ruler using Versafine on a piece of cardstock the same length as your card blank.  Use the fabulous new mask to stencil on numbers with black pen.  Mat this onto a piece of silver mirri card.  Stamp the sentiment on to a piece of white card stock, cut out, and mat onto silver mirri card.  Adhere the ruler to the card base with double sided tape, and use foam pads to adhere the sentiment on top of this between the 1" and 3" markings.  Stamp the giraffe onto white card stock using Versafine, I used the standing base, elongated neck and head stamps.  Colour in using Distress Inks and a water brush, cut out and use foam pads to adhere to the front of card blank.

To make the above card you will need a 7"x5" white card blank, brown paper from the Perfectly Natural paper pad, white card stock, Onyx Black Versafine Ink, Shabby Shutters, Vintage Photo & Tea Dye Distress Inks, Another Year Taller stamp set & mask and some twine.  Trim some white card to slightly smaller than your card blank, and using Shabby Shutters DI, randomly stamp vines around right hand side and along top.  Take the seated giraffe base, elongated neck and head stamps, and stamp onto white card stock using Versafine ink.  Colour this in using Vintage Photo & Tea Dye Distress Inks and a water brush.  Cut out the giraffe and adhere to the card using foam pads.  Wrap some twine around the left hand side of the card, and mat this card onto a piece of brown paper from the pad.  Stamp the sentiment onto a white die cut circle, and adhere to the twine using foam pads.  Adhere the completed panel to the front of the card black with double sided tape.

To make the above card you will need a 6"x6" white card blank, white card stock, white organza ribbon, yellow paper from the Beautifully Brights paper pad, Onyx Black Versafine Ink, Vintage photo & Tea Dye Distress Inks, and the Another Year Taller stamp set and mask.  Use Mustartd Seed and Vintage Photo Distress Inks to randomly blend around a square of white card slightly smaller than your card blank.  Take the mask, and place it at random spots around card, and blend through some Vintage Photo DI.  Mat this onto yellow paper, and adhere to the card blank using double sided tape.  Tie a piece of organza ribbon around the left hand side of the card base.  Take the seated giraffe base, elongated neck & head, and using Versafine stamp onto white card stock.  Colour in using Vintage Photo & Tea Dye DIs and a water brush.  Cut out the giraffe, and using foam pads, adhere it to a rectangle of white card - mat this onto a slightly larger rectangle of yellow paper.  Use foam pads to adhere this to the card, and finish off by stamping out the sentiment, and add this to the card.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing how I decided to use this fab stamp set, and I have still got some more ideas I want to try so you will more than likely see some more cards featuring this cute little guy - I just love him!

I'll be back shortly featuring another stamp set from For The Love Of Stamps - see you soon!
