Bee Crafty Stamps - How to make it!

Hi everyone

Sorry I've not posted for ages but my eldest son wasn't feeling too good....the dreaded sickness bug struck!!!  So I didn't get a chance to make any cards or blog, but thankfully he is feeling much better (yay!) and I can now blog again.

Decided to do a little 'how to make' this time around, and it will involve using my fave stamps from the fabulous Bee Crafty.

Have to apologise for the quality of a few of my photos, the sun was actually shining up here in Scotland again, and even with my blinds closed it was still sneaking in.

So let's get started....

What you will need:
  • White linen cardstock
  • Blending tool
  • Distress Inks - Dusty Concord, Salty Ocean and Black Soot
  • Versafine Ink - Onyx Black
  • Bee Crafty WORDage stamp Life & Rain (Large)
  • Bee Crafty Style Wire Borders Set
  • Inkable Circle template
  • Adhesive
  • 7x7" white card blank

Take a square of white linen card stock, Dusty Concord and Salty Ocean Distress Inks and a couple of blending tools.
Start by blending some Salty Ocean randomly around the white card stock, I tend to start at the outer edges and then do a little in the middle.
Next, repeat this with the Dusty Concord  Ink, again starting at the outer edges and moving in towards the centre.  I go back over all the card stock with the Salty Ocean blending tool to get an even looking blend.
Once happy with your blended colours, take the Inkable circle template and place centrally on your card.
I used Black Soot Distress Ink around the outer edge of the template to get this type of 'bubble' image.
Stamp the WORDage stamp into the centre of the 'bubble' using Versafine Ink.
Take the Dotty Wire Border from the set and ink up with Dusty Concord, and  stamp 2 lines across the top of the card stock, and 2 lines across the bottom.
To get the perfect colour for your matting layer, ink around the edges of a slighly larger piece of white card stock with Salty Ocean DI, this is a great tip to always ensure your colours will match perfectly (Thanks to Bev from Bee Crafty for this fab tip).

Matt your stamped card onto a piece of black card (this will make the stamped sentiment 'pop'), and matt both of these onto the Salty Ocean card.
To finish your card, simply stick it all down with some adhesive and add to a 7x7" card blank.
I hope you enjoyed my 'how to make', and will give it a go yourself....as always if you have any questions or comments please do let me know as I'd love to hear from you.

Hugs, Lorre-Anne x
