Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Hello you

Hi everyone, for my weekly Bee Crafty blog post I'm sharing a card I have made using one of my older stamp sets.  I wanted to create quite a simple card that would be suitable for any occasion and for either a man or a woman... I think this fits the bill!

Materials
  • 6" square white card blank
  • Brown and white card
  • Twine
  • Leaf stamp
  • Everyday Sentiments XL
  • Distressed Harlequin Dinkable
  • Distress Oxides (Aged Mahogany, Forest Moss, Ripe Persimmon, Gathered Twigs)
  • White gel pen
What to do
  • Cut brown card slightly smaller than the card blank, and a white square slightly smaller again.
  • Put some of each Oxide on to a blending mat and spritz with water, then drag the white square of card through it.  Dry with a heat tool.
  • Take the larger of the leaves and stamp randomly over the card using Forest Moss Oxide.  Next take the smaller leaf and stamp this using Gathered Twigs.
  • Place the Inkable randomly over the card and ink through with Ripe Persimmon.
  • Blend some Gathered Twigs around the edges of the card, and then tie some twine around the centre before matting to the brown card and fixing to the card blank.
  • Stamp the sentiment using Gathered Twigs, cut out and blend some around the edges before matting to a piece of brown card.  Use foam pads to affix to the centre of the card.
  • Finish by adding some highlights with a white gel pen.
That's my project complete for this week, I'll be back next week to share another with you all.

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Be Yourself!

Hi everyone, for my Bee Crafty DT post this week I've been using the amazing Octopod.. I'd created this inky background a while ago and as I was flicking through my stamps I thought it would work brilliantly with the Octopod.

Materials
  • White 6" square card blank
  • Black & white card
  • Be Yourself stamp
  • Octopod
  • Dylusions sprays (Crushed Grape, Tangerine Dream, Calypso Teal)
  • Distress Mica Spray (Brushed Pewter)
  • Distress Crayon (Lucky Clover)
  • Distress Oxides (Mermaid Lagoon, Mowed Lawn)
  • Onyx Black Versafine ink
  • White gel pen
What to do
  • Cut black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and white card slightly smaller again.
  • Create the background by spritzing each Dylusion colour over the square of white card, spritzing over these inks with water and then drying with a heat tool.
  • Stamp some bubbles and seaweed over the background using Mermaid Lagoon and Mowed Lawn Oxides and then mat this to black card and attach to card blank.
  • Stamp the Octopod using Versafine ink on spare white card, add some colour with the Crayon and carefully cut out.  Spritz with the Mica spray and then affix to the card with foam pads.
  • Stamp the sentiment on white card using Versafine ink, chop in to 2 pieces and mat to black card.  Attach to card with foam pads.
  • Add some highlights using the white gel pen.
That's it for this week, I'll be back soon with a new project to share.
