Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Every accomplishment

Hi everyone, it's Monday and time for me to share another one of my Bee Crafty DT projects with you all... and today I am using the awesome guitar as my focal point.  I wanted quite a bright card so went for orange and purple as my main colours.

Materials
What to do -
  • Cut mat and layers using black and white card.  Mat the largest white layer on to the largest black layer, and glue to the card blank.
  • Take the Distress Inks and dab some on a blending mat, spritz with water and drag the other white square of card through it.  Dry with a heat tool and repeat until you get the look you want.
  • Use the dots Dinkable to blend some Wilted Violet through at random places, and stamp the squiggly lines using Wilted Violet too.
  • Use Versafine ink to stamp the guitar in the centre of the card.  Mat this piece of card onto the remaining black layer, and attach to the card using foam pads.
  • On spare white card stamp the sentiment using Versafine ink, and chop it into separate words before matting on to black card.  Attach using foam pads.
That's my project complete for this week, as always please pop over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog to see what my lovely team mates have been making.

See you next week!

Monday Bee Crafty DT Post - Da Vinci samples

Hi everyone, for my Bee Crafty blog post this week I'm sharing the samples I have made for Bev's shows on Hochanda today... tune in at 10am and 2pm to see all the gorgeous Bee Crafty goodies available.

I've used one of the MDF tags and decorated it using Pentart products (gesso, structure paste, cracking paste primer, cracking paste, patina effect paints).  I stamped the image on to tissue paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then adhered it to the tag using Matt Mod Podge.  The cogs and keys are also available from Bee Crafty.  I've also used the Hearts Dinkable .

I created the background using Mermaid Lagoon & Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxides, and Dinkables Regular Dots & Sunset.  The stamps I have used from the Da Vinci range are the Vitruvian Man,Science of beauty, and Art is never finished.

I created a very simple background by stamping the Wings in various colours of Distress Oxide (Candied Apple, Salty Ocean, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, & Twisted Citron).  I stamped Leonardo and the sentiment using Onyx Black Versafine ink.

I created a background using Brilliant Red Brusho, then blended some Black Soot Distress Ink through the Stars Dinkable.  I stamped Leonardo and the sentiment using Onyx Black Versafine ink.

I created the background using Distress Oxides (Faded Jeans, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Broken China), and the Circles Dinkable.  I then stamped the Science of Beauty and Life & Rain using Onyx Black Versafine ink.  I added some highlights to the circles using a white gel pen.

I created the background using Distress Oxides (Wild Honey, Frayed Burlap, Gathered Twigs), then spritzed water through the Vitruvian Man stencil.  I blended some Frayed Burlap through the Distressed Harlequin Dinkable, and stamped both the image and sentiment using Gathered Twigs.

I created this entire card using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide.  Materials used include Vitruvian Man Inkable, Circle Lattice Dinkable, Sforza Horse, Science of Beauty and Art is never finished stamps.

If you pop over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog you'll see some fabulous creations by my lovely team mates.  I'll be back next Monday to share another project with you all.

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Mixed media tag

Hi everyone, well this week I decided to try something different for my weekly Bee Crafty DT post and thought I'd give mixed media a go.    I've always loved seeing mixed media creations and have wanted to have a go for a long time, this is my first attempt...it's not perfect but I really enjoyed creating it and hopefully with practice I'll get much better.  I also need to say a huge thanks to 2 of my crafty friends for all their advice and inspiration - thanks Kasia Bigaj and Lynette Jasper!

Materials
What to do
  • I covered the tag in a layer of white gesso, and dried with my heat tool.
  • I then applied a thin layer of the cracking primer on a couple of areas, and again dried using my heat tool until it was still a little tacky.  To these areas I added a layer of cracking paste, thin in some areas and thicker in others, this is what determines whether you get large or small cracks.
  • I dried the cracking paste using my heat tool, then applied some of the grey DecoArt paint over the entire tag, dried using the heat tool, then used a damp baby wipe to wipe it off of the cracked areas.
  • Next I took the feather Dinkable and applied some structure paste through this using a palette knife, and dried this using my heat tool.
  • I spritzed on a little of both Dylusions colours, spritzed this with water then let it run down the tag a bit before drying.
  • I took 3 white roses, painted them with a little gesso and once dry spritzed them with the Dylusions sprays.  Once dry I rubbed some of the Lustre Luxe around the edges of the roses, and also the edges of the tag.  I added the roses to the tag using 3D glue.
  • I stamped the sentiment using Onyx Black Versafine ink, cut it in to separate pieces and blended some Black Soot Distress ink around the edges.  I also rubbed some Lustre Luxe around the edges and also over the cracked areas on the tag.  The sentiment was also added using 3D glue.
  • I finished by tying some organza ribbon through the top of the tag.

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Good Times

Hi bloggers, it's Monday which means I've got another Bee Crafty DT project to share with you all. This weeks card is really easy to make, and I thought the sentiment worked perfectly with the pocket watch.

Materials
What to do
  • Cut some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and some white card slightly smaller again.
  • Take the white card, and using Versafine ink, stamp the pocket watch in the centre.
  • Stamp the pocket watch again onto a piece of masking sheet, carefully cut out, then peel off the backing and stick this over the pocket watch you stamped on the white card.
  • Ink up the numbers stamp with both colours of Distress Oxide and randomly stamp over the white card, then take Twisted Citron Oxide and blend some around all four edges of the card.
  • Carefully peel off the masking sheet.
  • Mat the white card to the piece of black card, then glue both to the card blank.
  • Stamp the sentiment on to a piece of white card using Versafine ink, mat on to black card and attach to the card blank with glue.
  • Finish by adding a few gems in the bottom left corner.
I'll be back next week to share another one of my DT makes with you all, until then please pop over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog to see all the gorgeous things my team mates have been creating.

Take a 6" x 6" white card blank, and fold the front panel back on itself in half.

Cut a 1" strip off the bottom.

Cut decorative paper to cover the various panels.

Stamp the bunny, and add some colour using pens.

When everything is glued in place, this is the finished card.

Another view of the card.

Bee Crafty DT post - Life Laugh

Hi bloggers, I'm back to share my weekly DT post for Bee Crafty, and I've went for quite a bright card this week.  I decided to get the Dylusions paints out, and I thought they'd look fab with the Banksy stamps.... hope you like it?

Materials
What to do
  • Cut black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and white card slightly smaller again.
  • Take the white card, and use a damp baby wipe to blend some Dylusions paints over it.  Dry using a heat tool, then blend some paint through the Dinkables randomly over the card.  Dry again using the heat tool, then use Versafine ink to stamp the Crackle randomly over the card.  Mat this to the black card, then glue to the card blank.
  • Use Versafine ink to stamp the girl, then use scissors to cut off her club.  Use foam pads to attach to the centre of the card.
  • Stamp the words Live & Laugh on to white card using Versafine ink, cut out and mat on to black card, and then attach to the card using foam pads.
I'll have a new card ready for you next week, until then head over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog to see what my team mates have been getting up to.
